Our Specialization

We manufacture all types of Finished Leather for different types leather products and Gloving Leather / Suede Split Leather for safety gloves

Goat / Sheep skin Leather

This leather is occasionally used for gloves, it is hardwearing but coarser than other gloves. May sometimes have a Nappa finish to soften the hide. Usually used for cheaper ranges of gloves

Cow Hide Leather

Some lower priced gloves are made from cowhide leather, ideal for working gloves. Nubuck the top grain cow hide leather is used for some casual styles of glove. Nubuck is sanded or buffed on the grain side, producing a velvet-like surface. It lacks the suppleness and appearance of Hairsheep leather but is resistant to wear.

Suede / Split Leather

Suede is made from the soft underlayer of animal hide after the top layer is removed. To make split leather look like full grain leather, a leather finish is applied to one side and then rolled together. If you scratch full grain leather, it will show a lighter streak.

Leather Grades

The quality of leather affects how it looks but not necessarily how good it is for gloves. Softness and toughness come from the weight of the leather. There are three types of leather: full grain, top grain, and split leather.
Full grain is soft and comes from the upper section of the hide. It's not buffed or sanded, which allows for better durability and breathability.
Top grain is not the highest-quality, but it has a lower price tag and is more stain-resistant. It may have slight imperfections from the hide, but it often has a stamped grain to mimic other leather types.
Split leather is often used for suede. It's the fibrous underlayer of the hide after the top grain has been removed. There are different techniques to make it look like full grain, such as applying a finish or pressing it together. A light scratch on full grain will leave a lighter colored streak.

Leather Gloves

Most industrial leather gloves are exported from the east of India, especially from Kolkata where there are many active exporters. This region is responsible for more than 90% of the country's export of industrial leather gloves. Each year, around 150 million pairs of industrial gloves are produced in India. Many people who are struggling economically, but have good skills, work in this industry. The Indian Leather Industry aims to earn USD 27 billion by 2020. Experts say that making more industrial leather gloves and safety products can help reach this goal.

Tanning

Tanning is a process that turns animal skin into leather. Leather is a strong material that won't rot and can be used in different ways. To make leather, the skin is put in a container and soaked in a liquid that helps turn it into leather. The most common liquid used is called chromium. This can make the leather have a pale blue color when it's done. The skin gets soaked in the liquid while the container spins around so the liquid can soak in properly. After that, the leather gets dried and sorted depending on what type it is, how heavy it is, and how good it looks.
